Privacy notice
What we collect, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.
Last updated October 15, 2026
In short
Curb & Main records calls to the phone numbers on its websites, with a notice before each call connects, and keeps recordings for up to 13 months. The local contractor receives the call, the caller’s number, and any details the AI assistant takes. Contact form messages are used only to reply. Curb & Main sets no advertising cookies, sells no personal information, and deletes a call recording on request unless it is part of an open dispute.
Who we are
Curb & Main is owned and run by Joey Posdijk, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 42177891, VAT number NL004333963B46. Our registered address is on the Chamber of Commerce’s public register under that number. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Company details are on our About page.

What this covers
This notice covers this website, the local service websites we own and operate, and the phone numbers shown on them.
If you called one of our numbers
The phone numbers on our websites belong to us. Calls to them are recorded. You hear a notice that the call is recorded before the call connects, on every call, in every state.
What we keep:
- The phone number you called from, and the number you called.
- The date, the time, and how long the call lasted.
- The recording of the call, or of the voicemail you leave, and a written version of it.
- A short note of what the call was about, for example whether it was a real job inquiry, a wrong number, or a sales call.
Why: to connect you to a local business that can do the work, to be able to show that a call happened and what it concerned, and to settle any disagreement about it. Recording is also how we keep our own counts honest: a call counts as a job inquiry only if there is a recording of it.
Who else sees it: the local contractor who takes that town’s calls receives the call and your number, and any voicemail or details you leave, so that they can do the work and call you back. Where a website does not yet have a local contractor, we may connect the call through a pay-per-call network, which passes it to a local business instead. If we do, that network is named on this page. No other business receives it for its own use. The companies that handle it on our behalf, such as the phone and transcription services, are listed below.
How long: call recordings and their written versions are kept for up to 13 months and are then deleted, and your phone number with them. What is left (the date, time and length of the call, which website, and whether it was a job inquiry) cannot identify you and is kept with our business records.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in connecting you with a local business and keeping an accurate record of the calls our websites produce. Where local law requires your agreement to a recording, the notice at the start of the call is how that is given, and you can end the call if you would rather not be recorded.
If the assistant answered your call
If the local contractor could not pick up, an AI assistant may have answered. It tells you it is an AI at the start. It asks for your name, your phone number, and what you need done, and sends those details, with the recording, to the contractor by email, and by text once texting is set up, so they can call you back. The call is recorded and kept like any other call. The assistant does not keep anything of its own, and nothing you say to it is used to train an AI model.
As of the date at the top of this page the assistant is not switched on for any town; a missed call goes to voicemail, which is kept as described above.
If you send us a message
The contact form on this website asks for your name, your email address, your town, and your trade, and optionally your phone number and a message. We use it to answer you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.
We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell it, and we do not pass it to anybody else. We keep it while we are in contact and for up to 24 months after the last message, so we can pick up a conversation where it stopped.
Text messages and your mobile number
We do not send marketing text messages. The practical messages described on our Calls and messages page are switched off as of the date at the top of this page. When they are turned on, they go only to a number that has just called us, or to the contractor who takes that town’s calls, and every one says how to stop them.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, text message opt-in data, or consent with any third party, affiliate, or lead generator for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent to receive texts from us is never passed to another business.
Apart from the companies that handle data for us, listed below, a caller’s number goes only where the sections above say: to the local contractor, or the pay-per-call network, that takes the call, so they can call back about the job.
If you just visit this website
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies and does not follow you across other websites.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps short technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site up and to block abuse. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission is not automated.
The companies that handle data for us
We keep this list short on purpose. It covers the services we use or are setting up:
- Cloudflare. Hosting, domain names, and security, and the form check.
- Twilio. Our phone numbers, connecting calls, and recording them.
- Deepgram. Turning call recordings into written text.
- Anthropic. Its Claude models read the written version of a call to sort it, and, once it is switched on, power the assistant that answers a missed call.
- Supabase. The database where the record of each call and each inquiry is stored.
- Resend. Sending email from our systems, such as a form inquiry or a monthly report.
- Google. Our own email, calendar, and documents.
- Stripe. Payments from contractors. Stripe does not receive anything about callers.
- Moneybird. Our bookkeeping. Moneybird does not receive anything about callers.
Each is used under its own data protection terms and the transfer safeguards it offers, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU to US Data Privacy Framework.
What you can ask us to do
Wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. That includes a call recording. The one exception is a recording of a call that is part of an open dispute, for example about whether it was a real job inquiry: we tell you, keep it until the dispute is settled, and then delete it, or at 13 months, whichever comes first. Write to joey@curbandmain.com with roughly which website you called and when, and we will find it. We answer within 30 days and usually much sooner.
If you are in a United States state with its own privacy law, such as California, you can ask what we collected, ask us to delete or correct it, and you cannot be treated differently for asking. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to how we use your information, to ask us to limit how we use it, to ask for a copy of it in a portable form, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Our websites are for adults arranging work on a home. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters to somebody who has already contacted us, we say so directly instead of quietly editing the page.
