Burned by lead sellers before? Here’s what we won’t do.
Ten things, with the reason for each. Catch us doing one, tell us.
In short
Curb & Main never promises call counts or rankings, never bills a call without a recording, never sells a call twice, never claims a license or insurance for a contractor, never implies it does the work, never creates fake Google listings, never buys reviews, never places AI or outbound calls, never manufactures urgency, and never keeps a recording past 13 months.
The ten
-
Promise a number of calls or a ranking.
Nobody controls either. We show you recordings instead.
-
Count a call we can’t play back to you.
No recording, no lead, no charge.
-
Sell the same call twice.
One contractor per trade per town.
-
Tell a homeowner you hold a license or carry insurance.
Rules vary by state and we don’t check them.
-
Imply we do the work.
Every site says it connects homeowners with a local business.
-
Create or verify a Google listing for a business that doesn’t exist.
A fake profile is a lie told to a homeowner, and it gets real businesses suspended.
-
Write, buy, trade, or reward a review.
It breaks Google’s rules and United States trade rules.
-
Place a call with an AI voice, or let an AI pretend to be a person.
Our assistant only answers calls that came in, and says it’s an AI first.
-
Manufacture urgency.
If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing next month.
-
Keep a recording longer than 13 months, or refuse to delete one on request.
It’s a recording of somebody talking about their own home. The only exception is a call in an open dispute: we tell you, and delete it when the dispute is settled or at 13 months, whichever comes first.
Where the list comes from
One question: if this went to someone with less power and more at stake, would we still defend it? A homeowner with a flooded basement. A contractor trusting a stranger with his phone. When the answer is no, we don’t do it.
The question behind every item:
if this went to someone with less power and more at stake, would we still defend it?
